BNB awards scholarships

KINGS COUNTY -

Basketball New Brunswick has awarded scholarships to three athletes attending post secondary institutions in New Brunswick.

Since the inception of the scholarship program in 1997, BNB has awarded over $20,000 to deserving New Brunswick athletes.

Scholarhips are awarded to athletes who have made a significant contribution to the BNB provincial team program throughout the years. All of these athletes also played a significant role on their high school basketball teams and hope to make an impact at the next level of play at their chosen post secondary institutions.

• $1,000 each: Laura Fowler, Moncton, attending UNB in Fredericton; and Brent Kingston, Rothesay, attending UNB in Fredericton

• $750: David Dolan, Fredericton, attending UNB in Fredericton

• $250: Ryan Clarke, Fredericton, attending Mt. Allison.
