The New Brunswick Morgan Horse Show entertained spectators, showing off the versatile breed of horses being both ridden and driven throughout the June 14 weekend.

Foals, mares, geldings and stallions were shown in-hand to demonstrate the best characteristics of the breed. They were ridden in equitation, hunter, English and Western classes.

Harnessed to carriages, they were driven through obstacle courses and performed driven dressage (patterns) tests under the watchful eyes of Judge Sandra Johnson of N. Brandford, CT.

Competitors from both NB and NS accumulated points toward awards. Details available on the NB Morgan Club website at www.geocities.com/arali10ca.

Next door in the Ronnie Wilkins Memorial Cattle Penning Corral, more than 20 teams of three riders each competed in cattle penning. An ideal family sport, cattle penning provides both speed and excitement for participants and spectators alike.
