Mine construction underway

A pile driver works its way along a line of steel supports at the site of the new PotashCorp potash mine in Penobsquis. The $1.7 billion project will be carried out over the next six or seven years as PotashCorp expands its mine operations with two new mine shafts at the Picadilly potash deposit. The mined ore will be carried by pipeline to the existing processing facility.
