Manager wanted for Canada Games men's hoop squad

KINGS COUNTY - Basketball New Brunswick is accepting applications for the position of manager with the New Brunswick 2009 Canada Games men's team.

The successful candidate will work closely with coaching staff to plan and implement a series of activities leading to a successful Games performance.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assistance in team budget preparation

• Monitoring team expenses and maintaining detailed, accurate financial records

• Organization of revenue acquisition (fundraising, player fees, etc.)

• Preparation of regular financial and progress reports for BNB management

• Clear communication with parents and players (expectations, fees, goals, team rules, policies)

• Support of coaching staff at competition and practices (registration, supplies, equipment, venue, paperwork, statistics)

• Organization of team travel and accommodations

• Organization of a doping education session for all athletes

• Frequent promotion of the team through interaction with media and internal avenues

• Primary responsibility for team conduct

• Prime contact with mission liaison

Technical expertise and bilingualism would be considered as assets.
