Robert Doucet

Councillor

Town of Hampton

The food that gets pushed to the side of your plate

Peas. I hate them cooked, but raw out of the garden I can handle.

What grinds your gears and what floats your boat?

I hate being taken for granted and I love hearing kids laugh and enjoy our pool and life.

Two words your coworkers would use to describe you

I hope it would be good friend.

Who should be prime minister of Canada?

Rick Mercer from The Mercer Report. He's funny as heck, but a straight shooter.

A sport you'd never watch

Bowling. I like doing it, but I wouldn't want to watch it.

Best advice you ever got

From my Dad: "Treat people the way you'd like to be treated."

Biggest fear

Heights

Your hidden talent

Drawing. I used to draw a lot.

Life would be easier if…

I won the lottery. I could make a lot of people happy and I would!

First purchase after winning a million

Probably a trip with all my friends…somewhere expensive and warm.

Secret guilty pleasure

I love driving with the windows open in the car, wind blowing and listening to tunes on a hot sunny day.

Favourite dessert

I don't eat sweets much, but if I did it would be my mom's homemade Pumpkin Pie.

A super power you would like to have

To be able to heal people by touching them.

Favourite song of all time

I like Tim McGraw's one about his Dad when he was diagnosed with cancer…Live Like You Were Dying.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

We'd all like to think Brad Pitt…but it would probably be Jim Belushi (without the drugs.)

Person who most influenced you

I've had a few in my life, but my Dad was the biggest influence for me. He always treated people with respect and kindness and loved his family.

The last book you read

I read a lot of wood working books, so the last one was a wood working book.
