Thumbs Up to the people who have been and are helping students in Belleisle and Hampton with their historical research of First World War soldiers from the area. It's great to see the generations working together on such great projects. Submitted

Thumbs Up to all the students and volunteers who participated in Jump Rope For Heart. Submitted

Thumbs Up to Kindergarten orientation. It is fun. Ms Baines is nice. Submitted

Thumbs Up to the town for its semi-annual garbage pick-up date. What a great opportunity to get rid of accumulated junk. Submitted

Thumbs Up to the police officer who arrived with a coffee for the crossing guard at Sussex Elementary School recently. What a good buddy! Submitted

Thumbs Down to those blue recycling bags put out days before pick-up. They make every day look like garbage day, which isn't very nice to look at. Submitted

Thumbs Down to grocery stores that advertise specials but then do not stock the sale items. Customers are not amused by the ‘temporarily out of stock' signs posted on the shelves where the products are supposed to be. Submitted

Thumbs Down for those running for council in Sussex who, to date, have not put out one election sign. Get out and make an effort because one of you very well could be on the outside looking in when the polls close May 12.
