Thumbs Up to the Harper government for passing Bill C-2. It clamps down on violent criminals, and gives police better tools to combat drug and alcohol impaired driving, among other things. Let's hope it makes criminals more accountable for their actions and keeps us and our children safer.

Thumbs Down to people who jam the driving lanes at Sussex Regional High School with their cars. There is barely one lane of traffic able to get through most days. Aren't you afraid someone is going to hit your cars, because they are really stuck out in the traffic lanes. Submitted

Thumbs Down to a lousy first day of spring, and thumbs down to ice and more ice.

Thumbs Down to too many Easter treats.

Thumbs Down to co-workers who screw up on a regular basis and don't have the sense to improve or quit. You make life difficult for everyone around you.

Thumbs Down to politicians who are too egotistical or stubborn to see when they are wrong. You need to recognize that you will be wrong on occasion and when everyone is telling you that you are wrong, you're probably wrong.
