Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down
Thumbs Up to the people who have been and are helping students in Belleisle and Hampton with their historical research of First World War soldiers from the area. It's great to see the generations working together on such great projects.
You don't own your property's mineral rights, says Gillies
I am deeply concerned about uranium mining in New Brunswick. I am fairly new as a resident to the province since 2007. Oil price predictions: more ups, followed by some downs
Recently Hamish McRae, one of the world's best economic journalists, declared in The Independent that "Hardly anyone a year ago successfully predicted the rise in the oil price to $120 a barrel in fact I have not found a single forecast of that." Regular readers of this column may recall that I predicted oil at over $100 a barrel in April 2006, and well north of that price in another column in July 2007.

Spring starts to pick up the pace
A couple of Fridays ago upon getting up I strolled to the front window of our bedroom to see how the world was getting on since I had last seen it the evening before. America helping Israel is a sure-fire winner of votes
You have to admire the macho instincts of Hillary Clinton. Asked on the day of the Pennsylvania primary what she would do if Iran made a nuclear attack on Israel, she replied: "If I'm the president, we will attack Iran... we would be able to totally obliterate them."
