Miles Sabine delivers a drive at the net for the Sussex Sonics against the Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders earlier this season. Both teams played in the NBIAA senior boys AAA volleyball championship tournament May 16-17 in Saint John. The Nepisiguit Rebels won the banner with a come-from-behind 2-1 title match win over the Crusaders. The KVHS team opened with a 25-18 win, but the Bathurst school rebounded with a 25-23 victory to force a deciding game, which they took 16-14. Nepisiguit defeated the Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders 22-25, 25-21, 15-12 in the semis while KV ousted the Fredericton Black Kats 25-19, 23-25, 15-9.
