Wellness retreat planned for May 31

HAMPTON -
Hampton's first women's wellness retreat is planned for May 31 at Bamara Inn, led by Jennifer Gendron of Lifestyles Health and Fitness.
She invites women to join the retreat and lift their spirits for spring with pampering services and informative sessions.
"It's for mothers and daughters, groups of friends, and women looking for a little bit of downtime. They can come enjoy a nice, relaxing, pampering day," she said.
"We're hoping it will become an annual event."
The retreat is also an opportunity for women to "learn about some of the services available in our own little town," Gendron said, explaining the businesses and speakers at the retreat are all based in the Hampton area.
Participants can enjoy a stroll through the Dutch Point nature park as well as lunch and / or dinner, depending on whether the morning or evening package is chosen.
Morning session
The morning package, which includes lunch, begins with gentle morning yoga with Sarah Picard of In Harmony Yoga, a "Freshen my Face Facial" and "Fingers on the Fly Manicure" with Beverly's Esthetics Studio, a half hour relaxation massage with Vitalis Massage, and tips for getting organized from professional organizer Pam Kelliher.
Interior decorator Jennifer Ganong will speak about creating a home retreat, and wellness coach Peggy Porter will give a presentation entitled "How Full is Your Glass?"
Afternoon session
The afternoon package includes a buffet dinner. It begins with a facial and manicure with Beverly's Esthetics Studio and a half hour relaxation massage with Vitalis Massage.
Gendron will host a discussion, "Women on Weights," about the benefits of physical activity for women, and participants will be invited to join her for a Nordic walk in Dutch Point Park.
Pam Kelliher will speak on "Improving Your Environment" and Janalee MacKenzie, holistic nutritionist with "Nourish Life," will be the guest speaker at the dinner.
Picard will close the day with an evening yoga session.
The morning package is $135, the afternoon package is $145, or participants can attend for the whole day for $190.
Other options include customizing a package based on selected services or workshops, and overnight accommodations at an additional fee.
