SUSSEX - The southern 4-H district held their annual Round Up Aug. 19 during the Kings County Agricultural Fair at Princess Louise Park.

Members from three clubs in the Sussex area Bridging New Waters, Sussex Holstein 4-H Calf Club and Kings County Beef 4-H club competed in eight livestock projects and eight non-livestock projects.

Leader-at-large Becky Perry said the district was grateful to the sponsors that helped put on the show.

Dairytown, Valley View Sales and the Sussex Co-op each donated $250; Arbing Equipment and Sussex Farm Supplies each donated $100; and Mrs. Dunsters, Sussex Valley Vegetables and Shurgain each donated $50.

Perry said the show was a success, despite the late-afternoon rain.

"The day went really well and there was a great turn out of kids."
