SUSSEX The 11th annual Atlantic Canada Arabian Horse Show was held June 7-8 at the Princess Louise Park Show Centre.

Under the watchful eye of judge Lewis McKim from Richmond, B.C., competitors showed their horses in hand and under saddle.

As usual, one of the highlights was the liberty class Saturday night. In this event, the horses were turned loose in the arena, individually, and encouraged to ‘strut their stuff', demonstrating the grace and agility that are the hallmarks of the breed.

On June 21-22, the quarter horses take over with youth and adult divisions and both English and Western riding. Competitors come from the three Maritime Provinces, Quebec and the New England states.
